Ah, the joys of reading! The joys of books! Here a few things that please my inner bookworm to no end:
1.) New Book Smell– You can’t beat it.
2.) Cracking The Spine of a New Hardback– Yes, this is controversial. I LOVE IT! It is a beautiful magical sound that can only happen once.
3.) New Books from Favorite Authors– I squee to the heavens anytime Jack Gantos or Adam Gidwitz writes something new.
4.) Authors Acknowledging Your Presence on Social Media– Judy Schachner posting on my wall after I liked her on Facebook? LIFE MADE.
5.) Uninterrupted Reading Time- As a mom, anytime I get to read with no interruptions (other than the cat, because that will never be prevented) it’s glorious.
6.) New Book Day at the Library– When the cataloguer brings out MOUNTAINS of new books, it’s glorious.
7.) When Someone Loves a Book I Recommended- Especially if it’s a child.
8.) LOL Moments– If an author makes me cackle aloud, it’s a glorious moment. That being said, I nominate Pierce Brown for best use of “Bye Felicia.”
9.) Literature Couture– Clothing with book references? Plz take my monies.
10.) The Knowledge That I Will Never Be Truly Alone As Long As I Have a Book- Priceless.
What are your favorite bookish delights?

I often talk about books that make me ugly sob, but I rarely talk about books that make me laugh. I love books that give me a good laugh, chuckle, or even a guffaw. There are some that make me snort laugh. Here are few:
What books give you a good laugh?
I have been lucky enough for the 7 years of my library career to watch one of my patrons grow into a wonderful young woman. She has been a dedicated patron, program attendee, and volunteer. Today, I asked her to fill out a Libraries Transform sign to put up for National Library Week.
This is what I got:
So, on the days where you want to give up and run from the library screaming, remember this.
And if you need me, I’ll be in my office sobbing.
Yes, I’m behind. But it was well worth the wait! Where’s the next?!
Pierce Brown, I’m gonna need you to write more books, plzkthxbai.
Oh, and your use of “Bye Felicia” was spectacular.
A hamster in a Captain America-esque uniform. What more could you want?!
Yes, that is the title of the book. Fun read.
Gorgeous illustrations. Very interesting story. Can’t wait to see where this series goes!
Excellent, excellent, excellent. And yes, I sobbed.
If I hadn’t seen the recent miniseries with Aidan Turner (omnomnom), I would have been beyond confused. Wow.
Any good reads in March?
