Top 10 Tuesday: 10 Books STILL on my TBR List

Ah, the TBR (to-be-read) list.Β  An ever growing organism of suggestions, ideas, and shame because you haven’t read ANYTHING on your TBR list yet you INSIST on adding to it.

Or is that just me?

Anyways, here are a few of mine.

Anna Karenina

Rump: The True Story of Rumpelstiltskin

The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1)

I'll Give You the Sun

Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library

The Diviners (The Diviners, #1)

Dory Fantasmagory

The Crossover

The Night Gardener

What’s still on your TBR?

Yeah, so I’m one of THOSE people. You know them. The ones who don’t have a long TBR list b/c they give the impression that they’ve read EVERYTHING.

Well, here’s the secret: We haven’t read everything. I just don’t keep a long TBR list because I figure if a book lasts several months on my TBR list, it’s probably not that important that I read it, so I take it off the list. If it becomes important again, I might put it back on the list, but I try to keep my TBR list to a manageable size so I don’t get overwhelmed. πŸ˜€

I’ve also given up on reading classics. Take away my library card for saying that, but life’s too short to read things I don’t particularly like, unless I need to read them, and I’m not in school anymore, so phooey on that. πŸ˜€ For more, see my list of ten books I’ve never read:

  4. I don’t feel any guilt because of my miles-long TBR list. I throw any title that looks interesting onto it, then use it as a guide when I go to the library or bookstore. I know I’ll never read all the books on there and that’s okay. I just like keeping track of books that look good.

    Happy TTT!

Anna Karanina – I really want to read that to.

“The Crossover’ has been on my TBR list for awhile too and I want to read it before his next verse novel about soccer comes out. I have over 3000 on my list and yes, it is neverending.
