Top 10 Tuesday: New to the TBR Pile

Ohai TBR Pile!  How are you?

*Charlie Brown teacher noises*

Yes, I know I keep adding books.

*More Charlie Brown teacher noises*

Yes, I know I haven’t been choosing books from you to read.

*Again with the wah wah wah*

Yes, I know I may never read everything in the pile.

*Something that doesn’t need be translated*

That was rude and uncalled for.  Just for that, I’m adding more things.  And removing your speaking privileges.

And here are 10 more things added to my TBR pile!

Three Dark Crowns

The Gilded Cage

Heartless

Georgia Peaches and Other Forbidden Fruit

My Lady Jane

The Island of Dr. Libris

Only Ever Yours

The Wedding Dress

All the Single Ladies: Unmarried Women and the Rise of an Independent Nation

Top 10 Tuesday: 10 Bookish Names I’d Use for a Child

*Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish*

I love names.  When it was time to name The Tiny Human, it was easy peasy.  And it’s a great way to get this list started!

IMG_20151104_131407

1.) Atticus- Yes, that is the real name of The Tiny Human.  When I first read To Kill a Mockingbird, I knew I would one day use the name Atticus.

2.) Scarlett- Because, reasons…..

3.) Elinor- I think I might be one of the few people who prefers Sense & Sensibility over Pride & Prejudice.

4.) Darrow- Have you read the Red Rising trilogy?!  DO EET!!!

5.) Prudence I love the Alexia Tarabotti novels by Gail Carriger…but Alexia’s daughter has the better name!

And I’m stopping at 5 today.  Any literary names you would use to name someone?

Top 10 Tuesday: Top 10 Food Network Shows

*Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish*

Hi, my name is Alyssa and I’m a Food Network addict.  It is the channel I have on whenever I have access to the television.  I like to cook and LOVE to eat, so it’s only natural that this would make for some of my favorite viewing.

Here are some of the shows that have been my favorites!

Iron Chef Poster

The ORIGINAL Iron Chef– Iron Chef America will do, but the original is by far the more superior series.

The Pioneer Woman– I love her style of cooking and want to be her BFF.

Cutthroat Kitchen– Diabolical is an understatement.

Good Eats– HE HAD A SWEENEY TODD THEMED PIE EPISODE!  How can you not be in love?!

Chopped– If you’re not screaming at someone for using the ice cream maker, you’re not watching this show right.

30 Minute Meals– Still can’t figure out how she does it.

Sandwich King– Jeff Mauro is a damn National Treasure.

Southern at Heart– Shoutout to a fellow Kentuckian!

Barefoot Contessa Poster

Barefoot Contessa– She and her husband are PRECIOUS together.  Kinda makes me sick, actually.

Image result for cooking for real

Cooking for Real– Sunny Anderson is AWESOME!

Any other Food Network fans out there?
